Course Description
Geometry is a branch of mathematics consisting of two dimensional and three dimensional figures, their position, and the properties of space. We learn about the foundations of Geometry, reasoning, lines, triangles, polygons, similarity, trigonometry, perimeter and area, 3D shapes, circles, and transformations. Geometry is quite visual in comparison to Algebra although Algebra will be necessary to solve some of the problems we will do. The student will develop the ability to solve mathematical problems, think critically, work cooperatively with others, explore real-life applications, and communicate mathematical ideas clearly.
