Scholarships Available: $250 award for one male and one female who has dedicated service to Pittsville Youth Sports through participation in sports and/or volunteering.

Pittsville Music Booster Scholarships Local 5/16/2024 2 @ 250.00 each
Requirements:
  1. Be a graduating senior from Pittsville High School

  2. Have been involved in the high school music program for at least 4 semesters.

  3. Exceptions for outstanding transfer students with qualifying time from previous schools.

  4. Be an individual who demonstrates a high degree of citizenship, routinely performs in high quality musicianship, and shows qualities of being a hard worker.

  5. Continued involvement in the arts post high school graduation: community band/choir, church band/choir, collegiate band/choir, etc. This participation does not mean that you must be pursuing music as a career.

  6. Submit a 1-2 page essay discussing music’s role in your life and education, answering the question, “How has music influenced your life and education?”

  7.     Essays must be typed in Times New Roman, double spaced in 12 font.

Awards:

2 awards  of $250.00, one for Band, one for Choir.

Students may only apply for one of the scholarships-either band or choir. Please indicate this appropriately on the application.

Application for the Pittsville Music Boosters Scholarships will be made through the Music Department. Selections will be made by a vote of the Music Booster’s Board of Directors.

Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation Scholarship State 5/24/2024 varies from $1,000 to $3,000
Requirements:

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Individuals must be between the ages of 17-19 as of January 1st of the current year.

2. Individuals must be a current or past junior livestock exhibitor who has exhibited beef, sheep, and/or swine at the Wisconsin State Fair.

3. Individuals must pursue a post high school education, and be enrolled or planning to enroll in a University, Vocational/Technical School or University short course.

4. Only one scholarship will be awarded per individual.

Awards:

The Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation will offer $40,000 in scholarship awards in 2024:

  • One $3,000 scholarship

  • Two $2,500 scholarships

  • Seven $2,000 scholarships

  • Six $1,500 scholarships

  • Eight $1,000 scholarships

  1. All applicants must complete and submit a Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation scholarship application online to be submitted no later than Friday, May 24, 2024.  The online application can be accessed at: https://www.gbrla.com

  2. 28 recipients will be chosen from the applications received by the scholarship committee.  The top 10 finalists will interview for the top awards.  These are one-time scholarships.

  3. Applications will be judged on the following basis:

    1. State Fair participation

    2. Leadership activities

    3. Scholastic achievement

  4. The Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation reserves the right to adjust scholarship distribution based on the number of qualified entries received.

WI Towns Association Scholarship State 5/27/2024 7 - $1,000 awards
Requirements:
  • Must be graduating in 2024 from a public or private Wisconsin high school
  • Plan to enroll in either a public or private college or vocational college within the state of Wisconsin
  • Prepare an essay by addressing the following topic: ""What strategies can be implemented by town officials in collaboration with citizens to maintain civility in local government?"

PB & J Scholarship National 5/31/2024 $1000
Requirements:

The PB&J Scholarship is for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but who still have the drive to succeed.

Examples of personal challenges include, but are not limited to:

  • medical issues
  • peer issues: bullying, change of school, minority status, etc.
  • family issues: divorce, death, lack of income, homelessness, foster care, abuse, etc.

When in doubt, students are encouraged to apply; this scholarship is meant to be inclusive.

Evaluation & Process

Applicants will be evaluated based on their essay and letters of recommendation; there is no GPA requirement. Please note: letters of recommendation must directly reference the student’s challenges. If the applicant does not wish to share their challenges with their recommender, then the recommendation must reference the student’s personal character.

WCA Group Health Trust Scholarship Program. State 6/7/2024 5 scholarships for $2,000 each
Requirements:

 

To be eligible to receive a scholarship from GHT, the applicant must enroll full-time as an undergraduate student at a Wisconsin college in the fall 2024 term as either: a second-year student at a technical college; or a third- or fourth- year student at a four-year university. The applicant must be working towards a career in health services. The applicant or the applicants spouse, parent, grandparent or guardian must be a GHT member. Please note, past recipients are not eligible for consideration.

TWO NEW ITEMS THIS YEAR:

1.) Please upload one letter of recommendation from a teacher, advisor, or peer.  The letter of recommendation must include the author's name, address, phone number, and email address.

Requirements:

To be eligible to receive a scholarship from the County Mutual, the applicant must enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited two-year technical college or a four-year Wisconsin university or college, either public or private, in the fall 2024 term. The applicant or the applicant's spouse, parent, grandparent, or guardian must be an employee of a County Mutual member county. Please note that past recipients are not eligible for consideration.

Chris Boyer Memorial Scholarship Local 9/20/2024 $500
Requirements:

In memory of Chris (Sporty) Boyer, family and friends have established an endowment fund through Chippewa Valley Technical College for students pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Its purpose is to encourage educational growth and professionalism among police, sheriff and protective service officers.

The Chris Boyer Memorial Endowment Scholarship will be given to a new CVTC student entering the Criminal Justice program.

  • High school seniors planning to attend CVTC
  • Students enrolled in the Criminal Justice program
  • Applicant must display a strong desire to serve their community, compassion and the ability to work with others.
